Achieve more in your life by doing these 5 things with your goals

Accomplish your goals daily
Creating new goals is one of my favourite pastimes. Jotting down new ideas and dreams that I have for myself is so much fun.
I have a big love for goals.
For me,
Goals = Purpose
Setting goals in your life is meant to be an exciting, wonderful experience. Goals make you push yourself – give yourself a challenge – and reach new heights.
By setting goals, you are essentially inspiring your inner self to keep growing.
Now, you may be asking yourself, “I may set goals but that doesn’t mean they will come true”. In this case, I am going to say FALSE.
I firmly believe that if you set a goal and work every single day to achieve it – you will.
On the other hand, obviously some dreams simply do not come true – which in this case, I believe that another door will most definitely open.
As long as you keep working at your goals and on yourself – you will see positive growth.
Here, I break down every place you should put your goals to help motivate you on your journey :
1. Make a 'vision board' on Pinterest
Pinterest is a visual tool that you can use to create your vision. Goals feel more real when you visualize them. Pinterest is PERFECT for this because you can make sections for your goals (ie. Dream Wedding, Career Growth, Workout routines etc). Doing so, will send a message to your brain that you see it – want it – and will do what you can to get it.
2. Your Journal
I can not stress this enough – Write. It. Down! Writing down your goals is an amazing way to lay everything out on the table. You need to identify what your goals are so you know what you are working towards.
3. Daily To-Do List/ Productivity Plan
A perfect way to keep track of your goals is to create a plan This means breaking down what you want to accomplish into a system where you can work at it little by little every single day.
As a result, you will minimize the space between you and your goals day by day. Isn’t that wonderful? Keeping on track and making sure you keep pushing ensures you to follow through. Before you know it, you’ll reach what you want done in no time!

4. Network and connect with someone who is accomplishing it already

Personally, one thing that helps the most when achieving your goal – is to talk to someone who is currently doing it.
For example, I really wanted to start blogging and writing again. So, one of my first steps was to reach out to people who were currently doing it. I hopped on twitter and found my writing community (click the link if you want to join in on the fun!) where I learned SO much. Thousands of people telling me they currently were doing what I dreamed of doing!
You know what happened next? It motivated me. Actually, it not only motivated me but it inspired me – that I could do it TOO.
Reaching out and networking with others that currently do what you want to do provides clarity, guidance, and motivation.
Some places where you can find your hub of inspirational people:
- Facebook Groups
- Instagram hashtags
Not to mention, these are all online. There are many people that could be hidden in your life that are doing what you’re seeking! Don’t be afraid to connect with others on a deep level and ask questions!
5. Daily Affirmations
Lastly, the one place your goals matter the most is in your mind. When you constantly think about your goals – it results in you making a conscious and subconscious effort.
Believe me when I say, you receive what you put out. Meaning, if you fill your mind with constant words of positive affirmations – especially about the goals you want to fulfill- you can watch as they come true.
This is because you’re swapping out negative thoughts (self-sabotage and limiting beliefs) for words of positivity (confidence and raise your self-esteem).
Swap out : I really want ____ to happen
Instead try : I am so excited for ____to happen
Swap out: One day I hope I will become ____
Instead try : I will work hard every day to make sure I’ll be ____
Swap out : I just want ___ to happen already
Instead try : I’m enjoying this process so that when I achieve ____, it will be so much better.
As you can see, simple switching like these will keep you feeling positive and refreshed. So whenever you hear your inner talk, make sure you’re using the correct voice! The positive voice that empowers you!

My Current Top 3 Goals :

Hi Pam. Great ideas. All too often we think to ourselves ‘I must do this, or I will do that’ and then our boss comes along, distracts us with some work, and we forget all about our goals. Getting them down in writing/text helps us remember the,
Goals:
1. Engage more on Twitter and comment on others’ blogs!
2. Finish my next blog post
3. Figure out why everybody raves about Pinterest!
Hi Richie! Oh wow, I relate to this comment so so much! It’s so easy to get distracted by every day pop-ups! It’s important to set aside time to reconnect with what makes us happy and remind ourselves why the heck we work so hard! lol
Those are AMAZING goals, Richie! I absolutely love those. Ps I would 100% be happy to connect with you if you want any answers regarding Pinterest. Or anything! Always here 🙂 Thank you so much for commenting!

Hey Meghan! Wow, thank you!! And yes!! I fully agree with you – I believe that there’s something so personal between you and a journal. I’m aspiring to do all the things on this list. I have the first few but I find daily affirmations just a struggle to keep up with for some reason lol
I am so happy to hear that Crystal! And oh wow, I can totally relate and I completely understand how they could be hard to remind yourself. One way that helps me is to focus on the thoughts I’m currently having. Start with correcting your mindset that you already have. Whenever you hear little negative thoughts pop up in your head – use that moment to practice correcting that thought!
Hope that helps! Thank you for reading today! x
