My life altering moment so far in my 24 years on this planet – was the moment I realized:
“If you don’t like something about your life - only you have the power to change it”
Remember this:
Your life runs the way that it does because of the choices and decisions that you make throughout your life. Of course, things do happen in our lives that we do not have any control over – but besides that –
who we are is based off of who we make a conscious effort to be.
We choose who we are every single day of our lives. From the moment we wake up, to the moment we go to bed – we choose how to act, what we eat, what to do, what to say, every single day which as a result, forms the life that we live.
Going through many things in life, I often remained sad for months at a time. I found myself saying things like, “my life just sucks” or “I hate myself” constantly and my days stayed GLOOMY. It wasn’t until I realized that I needed to DECIDE to be happy that my life began to change.
I needed to actively make changes to my everyday life in order to shape the life that I truly wanted.
Life is complicated and can get wildly messy – OF COURSE. But to make a point daily to not give up, and every day do something that makes you confident to be you – is what is important to keep you moving forward.
In order to find success in improving your life into how you want it – you have to ask yourself a key question:
What do you want?
What is it that you want out of your life? If you are upset over how your life is, or how you are – ask yourself what it is that you want your life to look like?

The first step into manifesting and shaping your life is to figure out what it is that you want.
Once you figure it out, you can break it down, and see what you can do each and every day to get you closer to being the person you dream of.

How do I figure out who I want to be?
Let’s say you can’t think about that ‘dream’ version of yourself. Here are some tips that I’ve done throughout my whole life to help me envision who it was that I wanted to become.
1. Use Music
Grab some headphones, your phone, and lay down or sit somewhere quiet. Find some songs that make you feel euphoric. Honestly, it doesn’t matter what songs – the only thing that matters is that you pick songs that strike something in YOU.

2. Think of yourself
Think of yourself – happy. Think of yourself as being the MOST confident you.
I call this person, “Dream you” because they are everything you dream of for yourself.
3. Break it down
Ask yourself some questions –
Why are you so happy?
What are you wearing?
Describe what your hair looks like.
Tune into what would be going on in your life at this time.
Are you in school? What career do you have?
What are your accomplishments?
Hobbies? Favourite things to do? Get deep!
In this version of you – what does THIS version of you have that the real life version of you DOESN’T.
4. Write it down
Truthfully, I know I could spend my whole night visualizing #2 but what I want most is to create the life that I see into reality.
To do this, you need to take note of what you want. Write it down in your journal, or use the template that I provided – above where I list the catagories for you and break it up in a way that you can take your time and really break it apart.
5. Take Action
What is goal setting without taking action?
As I said in my post, “Attract More into your life”, you have to work for what you’ve asked for.
This might mean,
Since your ‘dream you’ is just in the creation phase, you need to take the appropriate steps in order to bring them to life! You deserve it!
Final Note
In conclusion, it’s important to remember that when it comes to boosting your self-confidence:
- You have the power to create the you that you want to be
- If you don’t like something about your life – it’s on you to change it
- It is not a race – it’s about doing little things every single day that the ‘dream you’ would do
- You are already who you wish to be – you just have to believe it

Awesome positive post. I’ve definitely been in a slump for the past few months, but have been taking action to try to better my life. For example, doing yoga in the morning, organizing my schedules so I don’t feel overwhelmed, and taking breaks!
