Start your morning off on the right foot:
Starting your morning off right can sometimes be a challenge.
We’ve all been there before – Rolling out of bed, your eyes are heavy, your body is stiff, and you’re not sure why exactly but you know for sure you’re upset at something or someone.
However it presents itself – those mornings are NEVER fun.
The fact is, some days I just wake up having an “off day”, which is completely natural and okay.
Learning how to take those types of mornings into your own hands come with trial and error to find the right technique – but it IS possible to turn these days around.
I put together a few EASY tricks to move your brain in the right direction – the happy direction.
1. Accomplish one goal - Make your bed
First and for most, you have to get out of bed. It’s tempting to hit that snooze button as soon as it turns on. I should know, I’ve mastered the quick swiftness of that snooze button. But fear not!
Leave your phone far away from you the night before and you shall not be tempted!
2. Start with productivity - Make your bed
Right now your bed looks really good. Like, really really good.
Snap out of it.
We have to destroy that hope. Not only are you destroying the hope of getting back into it, but you’re also setting your day up ALREADY for success.
Think about it, you’ve already crushed the FIRST thing off your to do list. You are on a roll!
3. Healthy Habits - Get your booty movin'
Getting your body moving, and the blood flowing is such a good trick to wake your body up.
Whether this is through stretching, yoga, home workout, dancing, going for a run – whatever gets you up and at em’!
You do not have to be an expert! There are so many at home gym workouts online! Search through to check out which one works best for you and your needs!
4. Healthy diet - Eat something yummy!
It is a known fact that if you start your day off with something nourishing, your body (physically AND mentally) will thank you!
Give yourself something that you will be proud of. Make yourself a smoothie, drink some water, make your FAVOURITE breakfast.
Kick off your day with something delicious and yummy!
5. Spark your inspiration!
We all have the one thing that we love to do.
This could be: listening to your favourite podcast – turning on Netflix and watching the next episode of the show you’re binge-watching – calling your family or friends to chat – going outside for a walk and listening to music – painting – writing – catching up on social media – WHATEVER the case may be, start your day off by doing that ONE thing.
That thing for YOU that puts a smile on your face. That thing that lights you up and makes you feel excited inside.
