
Learn how I attracted my dream client through my marketing strategy on instagram

If you’re reading this, that means you are looking to grow and strengthen your instagram community!
YAY!
First and foremost, I want to explain that I started my instagram journey knowing NOTHING about Instagram. I’ll admit that, wholeheartedly.
The truth is – I didn’t see a point in it.
I was making money off of my blog, I had 11k+ Followers on Twitter full of support and love. I was JUST starting my facebook community and I was making awesome money as a Virtual Assistant.
What did I need Instagram for?
HA!
Little did I know, there was a whole other side of social media! Full of boss babes, entrepreneurs, business owners, and MORE just looking for help from someone just like me!
I had NO idea the potential hopping on instagram would have!
After joining instagram, I was able to not only create a presence online that attracted newcomers like myself wanting to learn and grow their business – but, I also started gaining attention from my IDEAL clients!
I was able to connect 1:1 with my dream client and communicate with them on a much more personal level! THE DREAM!
Now, I want to share with you the many tips that I learnt when growing my account.
Take these tips and practice them. Use them to your advantage and build a platform that best connects you with the people you want to work for the most!
Use a picture of your face for your profile picture
Don’t fall into the trap of using a logo! Get a nice, clear picture of your face and use that to draw people in. People want to connect with people!
Make sure your bio is clear
Top things your bio on instagram should have :
Who you are (Your name)
What you do (Virtual Assistant/Social Media Manager/Graphic Designer etc)
Who you work for (Here is where you want to put your ideal client)
What result they get)(More free time!/Clear mind/Stress-free time etc)
Where to get in contact with you (What do you want them to do next? Direct message you? Check out your website? Let them know what the next step is if they want to work with you!)
Post 2-3 times weekly
Long ago are the days that you need to be posting 5 times a week. In fact, I highly discourage it. CONSISTENCY is everything so you want to make sure you pick an amount that you know you can keep up with.
QUALITY over QUANTITY
Pumping out photos just for the heck of it won’t get you very far. You want to make sure you are providing your audience with solid information that they WANT to see.
Best way to ensure you are doing this is by sticking to THREE content pillars.
These are guidelines to keep you aligned to your messaging.
Educational : Teach your audience something
Connection : Share a piece of your life with your audience
Promotional : Talk about your services / something they should know about what you do
Doing this will help you keep consistent and always showing up with purpose
Show up on stories, daily!
Best way to show up for your audience is to show your face on stories at least once a day.
Obviously, there will be some days where you cannot get on to your stories – and that is ok!
Another way to make sure you are showing up for your audience is by posting interactive stories! Use the poll/ quiz/ question stickers to get your audience interacting.
The goal is to get your name circling on your followers feeds often. This creates a presence for yourself.
Also, you do in fact want to be intentional about showing up on your stories.
Some examples of what you can do can include :
- Teach them a lesson you’ve learned since becoming a VA
- Chat about what you are working on for a client
- Become the expert by showing your ideal clients a tip for them to use
- Share your workspace
- Chat about what made you become a VA
My top Hashtag tips :
Don’t be stingy! Use all 30 hashtags underneath your pictures.
Comment your hashtags no later than 1 MINUTE after you post. Any later than that and it doesn’t have the same effect.
Make sure you are posting different hashtag bundles for your pictures. I made 3-5 hashtag bundles that I rotate through.
Try not to pick hashtags with HUGE impressions (Over 999k). Your post can get lost VERY quickly.
Make sure your hashtags are RELATED to your post. Otherwise, Instagram might mark you as spam and shadowban you.
Lastly, I want to mention to make sure you are ACTIVE. That’s what growing your instagram is all about. It’s a give and take. If you want a loyal, communicative, interactive community full of people aligned with you – you have to keep up with engaging with THEM.
It comes full circle!
